Sure, a GTX 1070 is still good enough to play pretty much any game today, but once pic related becomes industry standard you'll need at least a 2060 to not get fucked

hopefully never
as if any fucking developers are going to take advantage of the full capabilities of UE5
i bought a 3080 for 700 dollars like 2 years ago. not my problem. Almost time to upgrade though.
havent played modern games for so long that i'd assume that is the average ps4 game, was spending money on modern machines worth it?
how many games use unreal engine 5 outside of Fortnite right now?
Female protagonist? Lmao I'll stick with my 1070
Every upco3 AAA game, even cdpr are using it right now

>once pic related becomes industry standard
AAA games are already almost universally not worth it... why would I play them when they become samey "muh realism" simulators?
Ever wonder why every game feels the same?
It's so low effort, they buy assets from the markeplace and touch them up a little and recycle assets from project to project, the gaming industry has been reduced to a glorified RPG maker scene.
>you'll need at least a 2060 to not get fucked
But I don't play shit games by shit studios, indies is all I need.
>mfw bought a computer with a 1050 2gb for $300 and don't want to spend the entire price of the computer for a new graphics card.
games are taking so long to come out these days it will be another 5-7 years for something genuinely worth upgrading for to come out. Wake me up when 4k 144fps cards are like 300$
The only reason why I'll upgrade soon is because my 1070 still has a little value in the after market. Can get around $170 for it and I figure if I get a 3060ti I can pay around $250 for a card which isn't bad.
You are right that a 1070 would not be able to do it with UE5 or similar

But when it becomes standard, I estimate 4 more years, it will be more than enough time to change graphics, and run that games at 60+fps
At that time there will be PS5 and Xbox Series revisions, which will run those games at 60fps, while the first consoles will run those games at 30fps
So I don't really see a big problem with that
Thank fuck I don't play garbage.
Want are even good UE4 games?
You think we will still have electricity by then?
Why would they make PS5/SexBox revisions when most people still can't even buy the original consoles?
>industry standard
Maybe triple A but the last triple A game I played was GoT. I guess you can consider From triple A but even the DeS remake had more technically impressive graphics compared to ER. I play so few of these games that I don't even see myself ungrading for another generation of graphics. Maybe 15 years down the line if my card holds out.
