I just played 1 and 2 so I’ll give you a rundown
Basically main appeal is you spend some time doing persona social links before one of 15 people are murdered and you have to find out who did it.
There is a lot of anime bullshit in it, some are fine while others are dog shit. Case quality is up and down, some cases are awful while others are actually kino.
Both endings are fucking dogshit. Gameplay is actually fun in trials apart from hangman. If you are interested, play 1 and 2 and get it on sale, just avoid the retard fan base like a normal person

I think the problem here is that you don't have any friends, so you have no one to talk to about things that interest you, therefore you end up relying on internet communities for discussion and if said community is some cringefest, then you think it's not worth investing yourself in that new game.
