>Place order for a Steam Deck
>Time passes
>Money stolen
Place order for a Steam Deck
It got games running on Linux that never would have otherwise, that's what I wanted from it.
So it seems the $400 model wins since you can install a faster ssd for cheaper
>Place order for a Steam Deck
Your own fault for being a retard.
>put in $5 reserve
>realize they have changed the hardware
>refund my $5
was it really so hard?
At this point I might as well wait until they put it in stores.
Your reservation is not an order. No money was """stolen""" because you get the $5 deposit back if you decide not to buy what they're offering.
Fuck you bitch. Stop being butthurt.
Lord Gaben could buy your whore mother and sister and rape them if he wanted.
Glory to valve an glory to the PC master race!
How long have they had this reservation system going? More than a year now, and people who first ordered when they first started taking reservations last year still haven't gotten theirs? What's the point? Do they even want the Deck to succeed?
If anything is going to kill the Steam Deck, nothing other than this will.
The worst part about their reservation system is that they'll email you at a random time and you only have a few hours to buy it, and if you miss that email, you will have to reserve it all over again and wait for yet another whole year for another chance to buy it.
2 days, still sucks but yeah.
>read the full specs and warnings of the listing where they mentioned from the start that some models might have a different kind of ssd with less bandwith
was it really so hard?
Thats the dumbest statement ive heard in a long time. This proves that the majority of these consumers dont even know what the fuck they got and the platform they are using.
EAC and BattlEye would have never supported Linux without the Steam Deck.
>you only have a few hours to buy it
you have 3 days to buy it
its the biden price hike
no nano processors
next time vote for the functioning not senile slighly orange candidate
3 days + a few more if you contact support
You could run a VM and use those before the steam deck.
That would require GPU passthrough, which would require buying a 2nd GPU.
>Lmao you could do it before on Linux
>how?
>by running Windows
based retard
>under 2,000 games run it vs 1 million games +DLC that do not work.
What a joke, a gaming tablet has more stuff and games. If someone really wants to, they would make it into a linux OS.
No you wont because you lose more money, this is not how buying works. You do not buy something and get a flashlight instead. This is why we have customer protections.
>reserve steam deck
>take a little 80 hour nap
>miss chance to order
fuggin gayben
I guess its a problem for people who dont have phone alerts for incoming emails.
every single problem with linux can be fixed by using windows instead
haha got mine already. Waitfags BTFO
The max bandwidth of the new SSD is irrelevant anyway, since the throughput is bottlenecked by the CPU.
