You still have your old games right user?
You still have your old games right user?
yes, they are all stuffed in the middle drawer of my dresser. n64, gc, wii, gb, ds, xbox, 360 games and also bloodborne
No, I own a house, and filling it up with trash isn't something I'm interested in. When I finish a game, I will often give it away or even throw it on the garbage. I've been doing it since NES
my autistic brother destroyed everything from my childhood
so then you weren't interested in it in the first place and just wasted your time?
Yes but my house is like 90 years old so moisture and dust has got to them so most don't work other than disc based games. Also every console I've ever owned other than my NES ended up dying at some point.
What do you mean? I played the games and enjoyed them
You did destroy everything he loved, yes?
no, I moved when I was 15 and had all my videogames stolen from our moving truck in the two or three giant bins I had my collection of NES/SNES/N64/GB/GBA/PS/PS2 consoles and games. That shit would be worth so much to resell today if i still had it all. Now I'm so scared of that happening again I tend to stick to buying digital now
I just don't talk to him anymore, when we were kids my dad had this retarded idea that brothers should love each other and share everything but this fucking satan spawn would come to destroy eveyr single console, cartridge, cd, toy, comic book and even cellphone I had
now we are both grown ups but I hate him anyway, good one dad, if only I could have had my own things instead of sharing literally everything, even my personal cellphone when I 15, maybe this family wouldn't be so cold to each other
and yet you throw them away so you're not interested in them, it's garbage in garbage out
Yeah I do
>famicart drawer
kino
great now I'm too scared to move my stuff out
surprised those pce carts aren't broken
why don't japanese value old games as much as westerners do? their games are like $3 used ours are in the hundreds
Most of them
No.
When I moved to a different province for university, mom became legit schizo after my grandma died. She said that her dead aunt came to her in a dream and said she had to keep my grandma's house, despite it being a festering shitheap. In an effort to keep it she pawned virtually everything I owned. Old games, pokemon/YGO/M:tG I collected since each game started, model kits, manga collection, the works. She even sold my pet macaw parrot to a fucking crackhead. All these things were sold for a fraction of what they could've been actually sold for. The only things I had left were my computer (which I brought with me), my clothes, and a few computer games (Such as Starcraft 1). Hell when she was booted out the only thing left in the house was a microwave. She even pawned off the fridge and stove.
When I found out about this I asked "Why the hell did you sell my shit without telling me?" Her response was "Oh but I was so close to getting it back from the bank!" She was so far gone in her delusions that the thought of selling everything from my childhood was an unquestionable moral good akin to getting food for a homeless person, nevermind that all the money she got was a drop in the bucket from how badly the 2008 crash hit us. Also with her talking about how my father was the literal incarnation of the third antichrist (This is not an exaggeration, she sincerely believes this).
I've cut her out of my life since then, but even thinking about it still makes my blood boil.
No, I am mid 30s and I have been "gaming" as long as I can remember so I built up a pretty sizable collection(nes, genesis, snes, n64, dreamcast, ps2, ds, pc). After I got married and started having kids I realized that keeping the old gaming crap around was pointless and I could just emulate any old game I had and more. I dumped all my old physical junk and went all digital. Couldn't be happier.
This is hoarder mentality. Especially these days when 99% of the shit you played as a kid can be emulated. Are you one of those weirdos that keeps old music CDs instead of just putting it onto your mp3 player?
Ugh that's so cringe doe, he shoulda sold those or donated thrm and rebought them on steam for based gaben fr fr
I lost all of my old ps1 and ps2 games when my landlord sold my dad's truck while he was out of town
user the context of the statement implies you were doing that in the 80s where you know you would want to play the game again
>how badly the 2008 crash hit us
larp. 2008 crash hit real investments not poorfag coffee can savings and meth holdings.
Yeah! I have them all to my friend years ago and we ended up moving in together and I got them all back, I prefer to play stuff on the actual hardware now when I can instead of emulating.
