For me, it's integration.

>0.9999... = 1
Hell no it don't

Based. I'm tired of derivative content.

im gonna shove a line up your ass faggot

Linear games live and die by their quality.
Open-world games can always fall back on implying the player is playing the game wrong if they're not having fun.

You take any of the modern day open-world games and transpose them into level-based, linear content, and people will instantly hone in on any of their gameplay inadequacies.

What would you subtract from 1 to get 0.9 recurring

0.00...1 obviously

suppose x = 0.9999 repeating
multiply by 10
10x = 9.99999 repeating
subtract x
10x - x = 9.9999 repeating - 0.9999 repeating
9x = 9
Divide by 9
x = 1
Therefore 0.9999 repeating = 1

>...1
no such thing retardkun

>multiply by 10
now you have 10x = 9.99...0
nice try

this *unzips*

OK Brainiac, whats closest number to 1 then?

Those numbers don't exist. You can't have an infinite string of digits followed by a single digit.
It comes up in some of those super abstract areas of maths like topology

that question doesn't even make sense

There is no place for the 0 to go user, 0.999... has infinite 9s.

That makes no sense. You can't define the last digit of an irrational number because it does not exist.

"Almost 1".

>Why isn't it possible?
>"I-it's just not!"
Why not you stupid bastards?

Ahhhhhhhh math nerds
*hides*

>You can't define the last digit of an irrational number because it does not exist.

lack of movement mechanics is. let me be fast god dammit

You can't slap a digit on the end of an infinite recurring decimal
