DUDE WHAT IF CHILDRENS THING BUT SCARY LMAO
You okay bro?
It's the same as kids in the 90's reading Goosebumps or kids in the 2000's with creepypastas. Children eat up horror content especially since their little brains can't tell what's real and what's fictional and what's well made and what's not. The only thing that's bad is that alot of this shit is uncreative as fuck, like Courage the Cowardly dog was supposed to be scary but it was also a quality show
>DUDE WHAT IF CHILDRENS THING BUT SCARY LMAO
5N@F was rather novel when it came out actually.
I will always get tired of these
Who hurt you? You must be fun at parties.
If your original idea is boring
then congrats, you can parade that you were uninteresting first
I've always hated it
What do we call this genre of vidya?
There's a difference though. Courage the Cowardly dog and Goosebumps stand up on their own as solid original material. Everything in the image is based on a reference to something already existing and just saying
>wut if chuck e cheese wus scary
>wut if sesame street wus scary
>wut if childrens toy wus scary
>wut if educational game wus scary
Its lazy and hack game making to appeal to 6 year olds
>DUDE WHAT IF SEXY THING BUT SCARY LMAO
user, you are impossibly jaded and the demo for My Friendly Neighborhood is actually really solid except for the "enemy" attack animation, which looks like a shit-tier jumpscare effect from FNAF.
>No Hello Puppets
So close, OP
>2022
>horror games are all still trying to be the next Slender
Nobody even remembers Slender nowadays and FNAF has overtaken it by a mile
Doesn't matter, even FNAF itself was just a byproduct of Slender: horror games that put no effort into the atmosphere and just have jumpscares and le 2deep4u lore to make them the perfect streamer-bait game.
I wonder why the Slender devs didn't capitalize on it far more.
They just made Slender the Arrival and that's it.
Just go play Darkwood. It's by far one of the best horror games made in the last few years.
And if you want a game that manages to be spooky/creepy/horrifying without being a horror game, there's also Northern Journey.
Game on the bottom right is obviously parody horror
I can confirm this. I fucking loved horror movies as a kid, even ones I wasn't supposed to see. I unironically say The Thing when I was like ten.
>Northern Journey.
fuck off, game was boring af
user, your taste is shit, I'm sorry.
>saw The Thing at 10
Based. The only problem with that film is that other horror can't live up to it. The only horror alien that's anywhere near as cool is the xenomorph, the only scenario that's as paranoia inducing is The Shining and the only soundtrack as atmospheric would possibly be John Carpenter's own Halloween. Overall, god tier taste in a shitpost thread
This might sound super pretentious, but if you wanna find genuinely great horror you need to be willing to go super obscure and have an open mind to everything. Graphic novels, webcomics, radio plays, you gotta be prepared to try something new if you want to find really good horror at its best.
Dude what if children's thing but coomer haha please post images
t. party pooper
It wasn't that boring, it just played out fast.
>Dead Space
>Callisto Protocol
>Scorn
>Negative Atmosphere
The age of body horror has become.
Friendly neighborhood feels more like its trying to ape Resident Evil, just with puppets in place of zombies. Specifically the new remakes
I wonder if she would still be hostile to a child intruder.
