Top VN:
1. Higurashi

umineko is actually the most retarded shit ive ever read, i cant believe it was written by the same guy who made higurashi

s;g is so far the only good vn mentioned in this thread. Will keep you updated if there are any changes.

This seems like the thread to ask. My VN experiences range no further than the first part of Umineko. I'm reading Dies Irae atm and while it's a bit slow at the start now, I'm enjoying it.

My question is do these choices matter a lot, or are they half a page of different dialogue at best? I've sadly noticed my attention span has dropped a bit over the years. I don't want to read 17 hours of story that ends with oh lol that one choice on if you liked chocolate or vanilla more had you stuck in the bad end timeline get fucked.

That's super gay user

Muv Luv is the most overrated VN I've ever read. I swear it's only highly rated because people Stockholm syndrome themselves after 2 games of shite then the first half of Alternative being dull. Flat characters and meh story don't make up for cool world building and a neat couple final battles.

Is underwater ray romano worth reading?

Honestly I was kinda disappointed with Steins;Gate. I expected a lot more from "one of the best VNs of all time" but it was a just a lame story about a bunch of otaku who got involved in something way over their heads. Nothing really happened for the vast majority of the story and it all basically took place in one small building. Every character arc was super predictable and unsatisfying especially the cat maid girl's arc. It was also extremely lame how Kurisu was barely a character for almost the whole game but then the last few chapters quickly built her into some kind of super waifu and emotional lynchpin of the whole story. I think I was only engaged with the story one time only and it was when Okabe interrogated Moeka in her apartment. That was a really nice scene filled with some thick sexual tension. Everything else was meh at the best and tedious to read at the worst.

Mostly read it for Lukako, no homo.

It's not even the best Sci;ADV man, read a few more VNs please

Sextoko

Honestly I don't see myself wanting to reread this anytime soon. It's great and all but some parts I just don't wanna go through again.
