Using materials past iron/titanium is now locked behind a tech tree unlock that requires you to either
1. mine/grind for hours
2. find/blow up pirates
3. Grind rep and buy it from a faction
You have to do this for every single material.
Automated mining is now removed from the game and was replaced with a system where you have to send each individual miner on a "mission" where they leave the map for X amount of time and have a chance to be ambushed and killed. It's like a mobile game because there's no way to automate it besides refreshing the duration every single time they come back.
Here's a post explaining shit in more detail.

Oh so they X gamed it
Outer Wilds.
who gives a fuck how "good" something is supposed to be if your game data is gonna get corrupted. Fuck Bethesda.
I will give credit to starfield, and say that it is, indeed, a game, and not scam citizen.
I'm wondering how interactive your crew will be. Looks like they are in specialized crew modules from what little we see. Hopefully they aren't just props and a stat boost.
>game data is gonna get corrupted
Literally never happened to me in any bethesda game even when i have a million mods
I hope you can send them out the airlock if you don't like them and to send a message to the rest
Corruption only happens in four situations:
- Really early mods made with the wrong game's CK and patched manually before people fully understand what was changed in the plugin format and masters
- Uninstalling poorly coded mods with scripts mid-game
- Not bashing incompatible shit
- Not cleaning ITMs
>I'm wondering how interactive your crew will be. Looks like they are in specialized crew modules from what little we see.
It will be either like Skyrim, were you have a lot of companions but they are get 3-4 unique dialogues and drawn the rest from a GenericPoliteMaleVoice pool, or it will be like Fallout 4 you will get like 10 unique crewmembers and nothing else.
>Hopefully they aren't just props and a stat boost.
They absolutely will be just stat boosts.
Send them to penal colony to mine on some shitty ice planet
Probably like fallout. You'll get a bunch of settlers that work for you and perhaps can join you on planets but there's also some unique NPCs.
>They absolutely will be just stat boosts.
I meant more as in they actually walk around the ship and make it look alive instead of just walking in a circle around their designated station.
empyrion galactic survival

70% chance that will be just that, 20% chance that they will not even do that and just walk around in your ship with no logic, and 10% that they will have some really basic schedule routine(work, sleep, eat) that won't affect anything or even be dynamic ie no characters jumping out of their bunks to man the guns or whatever.
