Seriously, it pisses me off that Spyro has gone so long without a decent game. Everything after the original trilogy (excluding reignited since that IS the original trilogy) has been mediocre or worse. Nothing has come close to re-creating the quality of the first three games. Poor purple boi needs a new game that isn't shit and isn't Shitlanders.

Plenty you can add that the later games did, without destroying the formula. Multiple breaths for different kinds of gameplay/puzzles, double jump like in AHT, even the more open exploration of AHT wouldn't be a bad evolution.

Yes. I will gladly take the risk as this hypothetical new game at least has somewhat of a chance at being decent or having something redeemable about it even if some gaggle of autists on Any Forums find something to hate about it. Even if it were complete shit, then that outcome wouldn't be much different than if Spyro stayed dead as I would simply not play the game. I might be a big onions boy who has a personal love for these IPs but not THAT personal because these are just video game franchises after all, not corpses of your loved ones who had been dug out of their graves and desecrated.
