It was mechanically good, but yeah. The entire game felt like an expanded Ceres Station segment in Super. Where the fuck was everything that makes a Metroid game Metroid? It's so sterile

the first time I played through it and got locked in a room and forced to listen to adam tell me where to go and what to do my heart sank
why can't I just play something where I'm on a hostile alien world and there's no fucking dialogue or npcs
