Cool, so how does that improve the gameplay?

For being a remedy game. I found Control to be so fucking boring.

HERE WE GO

Gameplay?

ps2 can do ray tracing.

Graphics ARE gameplay, boomer

wait the left one is supposed to be RTX? that shit looks hideous

why is the reflection brighter than the light it is reflecting

Raytracing is cool and all but not worth the performance tank of going from 144fps to 60 at least not to me. These next gen cards might be able to let us have are cake and eat it too. Heres hoping.

Because it's a tech demo, just like Quantum Break was for both new tech and the idea of tying other forms of media more directly to games than having plot extended in novels

Is this real time raytracing or baked in tho?
To my knowledge ps2 could only handle real time raytracing in non-open world n64 level graphic games, not in stuff like you posted

I can see it being pretty useful in fps games. Imagine being able to see a characters shadow or a reflection in a mirror and blowing a hole through a wall and killing them.

Control is still one of the best RTX games still.

I'd rather have 120fps

Most likely baked in.

Dumb take, technology will keep advancing and RTX will mean that stuff like this can be left to the engine/GPU instead of sucking up development time

>GPUlets are seething again
hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Specifically in Control:
>You can see enemies behind you.
>Or around corners.

It is obviously not real time raytracing, they are just rendering those items 2x.
