back then? i think they were leagues above others.
There were no other games that were as balanced in terms of quality, zelda's were usually jack of all trades that exceeded on puzzles, every thing else (combat, story, etc) was okay at best.
IMO it peaked at MM, it's highs were very high and its lows not that low.

For me, yes they are. Most other series have died off or gone to shit, while Zelda has been going for decades. However, if BotW 2 isn't a major improvement on the first, we may be looking at a decline.
