Good games can exist, I have seen great project being worked on at my company. There is no hardware limitation now in a world where the Switch has great games.

the mobile audience has been conditioned to ignore any game that isn't listed as "free" on the app store. they're also too stupid to do basic math and figure out that the amount of money they're throwing away on gacha is far greater than the one-time purchase price of a real game. only having a touch screen also limits what you can do with the gameplay anyway.
the only path to success on mobile is to make a glorified slot machine that exploits people with addictive personalities and pray you can at least catch a few whales.
the game industry would be in a much better place if anyone who downloaded a gacha "game" was immediately placed into a conservatorship before they can throw away their life savings.
