No. It's fucking stupid. It has basically no rewards aside from titles.

Mahjong soul is the most user-friendly english client (there is a reason mahjong popularity in the west massively increased after its release).
If you can't stand anime girls there is also good old Tenhou.

Ignore the gatcha since you're not forced to engage with it and you can basically just play it as an online majong game
Ive tried super hard to get into it but the amount of memorization ruins any enjoyment.
Like in Poker, it all makes sense and is simple to keep in your head. Mahjong none of the hands make sense and their all 13 tiles.
