I only do this if I stop playing a game for more than a few days. That's why I almost never try to juggle between games, I always end up favoring one of them and doing just that. I also try to play something to the end uninterrupted once I pick it up.

That's just called overstaying your welcome, some games drag on just a bit too much despite otherwise being really good. I had this issue with DQ11, despite loving the series and 11 itself by the end I was starting to lose interest in it because it really starts to drag halfway through act 2.
