Horrid pokemon distribution, returning to Kanto is nice, but you steamroll it with no problems
>Gen 3
You spend the last quarter of the game surfing, basically no grinding spots in the post-game, your rival never gets a 3rd stage starter. Gen 1 remakes were okay.
>Gen 4
Fuck Sinnoh, you need 6 HMs to traverse Mt. Coronet fully, and it has even worse pokemon variety than Johto did. Gen 2 remakes were good, though.
>Gen 5
extremely linear, they basically stop trying with the roadblocks after a while.
>Gen 6
The beginning of the end, handholding starts getting really bad here. Kalos is a convoluted clusterfuck of a region, Exp Share casualizes an already easy game, no trainer has a full team of 6 except the damn champion, the story doesn't make sense after a while, I could go on. Gen 3 remakes are somehow worse than the originals in almost every way. They straight up GIVE you Latias/Latios for free. The only upside is Hex Maniac is cute this time.

Good god the handholding and railroading has gotten out of control. I honestly dropped the series here, it was obviously not for me anymore.
