Dystopian future games

This is probably one of my favorite genres. Whether it's a nuclear apocalypse or zombies I love it. What are your favorites?

I really wish they hadn't made this game. They should've stayed in the moscow metro, and followed the plot of 2035. And making it a generic semi open world game where you collect generic resources to craft various tools

Does the sequels even have supernatural stuff? i feel like that's part of the charm in the original game. The beliefs that the nukes blew up everything, even the afterlife? that's one hell of a premise imo.

The Half Life and Nier series.

2034 and 2035 definitely tone back the supernatural stuff. 2033 is still the best book because of that stuff. Artyom getting two different opinions on what causes the voices in the pipes, either ghosts or just a gas leak, was great

You're not missing much, those games are ridiculously overrated.

There's touches of it but it feels overall played down compared to the first 2 games. The last level has a lot of it and there's one really good moment of it in the first level but that's all I remember.

those fucking psychic gorillas scared the shit out of me. Novosibirsk was definitely the best part of the game.
