cool opinion, here I'll share one of mine too: you're a fag

I played this through the MGS collection HD thing so I had no nostalgia for it but I really enjoyed my time with it desu.

My first Metal Gear was Rising around the time GZ came out and then I played through the entire series in release order and I liked 1 the most

I know, it's so fucking bad but nosalgiafags still mindlessly defend it
>no objective lists
>no quest markers
>too much talking
>no aim assist
>stealth is slow and boring

>lists why the game is great

Metal Gear is one of those series that l look back on like "why the fuck did I play any of this shit."

>aged poorly
The history events that are unfolding in front of you are 100% accurate. KOJIMA predicted the war that’s coming. This man is a genius.

>no objective lists
Handholding
>No quest markers
Handholding
>Too much talking
Fair point but also filtered
>No aim assist
It's for casuals
>Stealth is slow and boring
Ai is braindead enough for you to run through or abuse wall knocking

Just play a FPS or open world game lul

The storytelling is timeless, but replaying the game is always an excercise in remembering all the mechanics that weren't part of the series yet.

>it aged poorly
literally only for people who don't like playing games. Among the series it's the most video-game-ish one. Something that truely feels like you're actually playing it and requires interesting amount of engagements.
I can easily replay it and have fun. I can't say the same about the rest.

5 is OBJECTIVELY the worse because there's barely anything in it. Yes the controls suck, but for the time it was on par with most other games. It actually had things to see and difficult parts.

I just beat it for the first time a few days ago, it was a good game but there was absolutely way too much backtracking

nah its pretty good
have you played the original msx metal gear? thats a real piece of shit

This person would struggle with 'A link to the past'.

Imagine not being able to beat a game unless it spells it out exaclty what and how you need to do.

Why even play a game?

Literally the only good game in the series. The rest are zoomertier garbage

Holy based

Metal Gear has always been an unrealistic cringe as fuck dogshit IP, non of the games are good stealth games. The Tenchu games are far superior to Metal Gear dogshit.

go back to fortnite you coomerbrain

>This man is a genius
Or just a member of secret societies who let him in on the big plan decades ago, like most influential directors.

MGS2 is by far the worst. Worst level design and worst everything.

2 and 5 are the only good MGS. The others are objectively bad and you need low standards to enjoy the shitty framerate

I'm a zoomer, played it when I was 19 and I struggle to think of any real issues I had with it. Sniper/rocket controls are a bit awkward, and the run back for the PSG1 is long but that's it. Bosses aren't too complex but their gimmicks work well and are fun to fight even past the first playthrough. The cutscenes are long but the gameplay breaks them apart well. Few games are this consistently great all the way through.
