This isn't a Nick situation, the game is F2P. If ya want results of a similar game, just look at Brawlhalla. That game pulls around 18,000 players daily, and that's just on steam. It also helps that unlike Brawlhalla, Multiversus is a crossover from the get-go.

Obligatory roster post, I'm like 50% sure we'll have a launch roster of around 20-24 characters. I just don't know when launch will be since it seems that the devs want to keep the game up beyond the open beta.

Hey retard, unlike brawlhalla which is all pixelated shit with all characters having the same movements and animations with no voice acting.
Multiversus has too much effort placed onto it, getting VA, unique animations/movesets and balancing all of that for a 2v2.
Its going to die, it'll take YEARS for them to release new characters.

Pretty sure the devs weren't lying. Datamines suggest that they're working on at least 5 different characters at the same time, maybe even more. It wouldn't surprise me if they released characters in a steady and consistent pace.
