Games where the original is better than the sequel. I'll start:

>re1 mansion is a classic, once you leave it you go to the comfiest part of the game aka residence area, you go back to the cool mansion that is now overrun by hunters, the cavern is fun and short, the laboratory is still the best lab in any RE game, game is a blast from start to finish
>re2 police station is just a lamer version of the mansion and everyone agrees it starts to suck after you leave the police station
>everyone still praises re2 like it's the second coming of the christ and the best game in the series
I think it just comes down to the fact that most people never played RE1 and have nostalgia for RE2. Look at sales numbers, not many people played RE1.

It literally has all of those and better music and unlockables and replayability and characters and weapons and enemies and a zapping system to boot. RE1 is good but it's kinda been irrelevant since REmake
