Nobody is forcing you to use Linux.
Use what is best for you.
We did not ask.

>linux
>gaming
I choose both

>buy into the dragon's dogma hype
>prerendered cutscenes have no audio

>finally got my Steam Deck
>mess with Desktop mode
>it's just Windows with an app store
Cool OS, guys

>desktop mode is a traditional desktop experience
water is wet

i always install KDE on old people's computers because it looks exactly like windows

KDE looks like windows by default, but it can look however you want it to.

Windows has an app store

yep, latest release

Then why the superiority complex?

>be playing neo twewy PC version with wine
>game works flawlessly
>get to the last scene and credits
>game crashes at the end
>The cutscene and credits are long and unskippable for the first time
>have to watch everything again
it's gonna crash again isn't it

i don't have one.
just mentioning KDE just has amazing customization, the windows-like default is only skin deep

also the ""advanced"" linux users with tiling WMs that are made in like 1k lines of code.

Wasn't Alice a hassle to install?

Linux is life, linux is love

yep it crashed, time to waste a lot of time trying to fix this

There are DEs that aren't Windows-like, like GNOME, and people tend to sperg out about them precisely because they don't have a Windows-like interface. In any case, the advantages of Linux go well beyond the DE, but KDE happens to be a pretty good one with a ton of functionality and customization over Windows.

Unreal Engine, Unity and Godot are all compatible with Linux. Is it possible to do game dev inside Linux?

Stop using meme distros.
Get rid of Ubuntu.
Get rid of memejaro.
Get rid of M*nt.
Install Tumbleweed.
get.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/
Alternatively, install Arch

yes, especially for GODOT.

all three deserve the rope
shit anime, all so fucking smug and annoying it makes me want to punch the screen.
enjoy input lag, audio lag, slower performance, fewer compatibility, no hdr, no 10bit, no 12bit

i see Pajeet's here already.

What's wrong with mint?

does proton add input lag?
also
>fewer compatibility
is very unnatural, ESL?

>does proton add input lag?
No, he has no idea what he's talking about. If anything NVIDIA's and AMD's drivers on Windows perform so many dirty tricks to extract performance that I wouldn't be surprised if input lag is lower on Linux.

Im honestly surprised at how simple things became
Hades and RoR2, didnt have to do shit. Just worked out of the box.

>try launching picrel over wine (CODEX release)
>none of the wine versions i tried work
>fags on protonDB says it just werkz on any version
