RTX 3080. Is it worth it to re-paste and replace thermal pads, or does it not matter for gaming? Not liking 80C temps

2070, now waiting for 4080

You should try undervolting first, a lot of nvidia card models have higher voltage than it needs to run stable. I undervolted my 3060ti and lowered its temps by 8~10 celsius without losing any perfomance, i could lower even more if i wanted to lower the perfomance a bit.

1650 S 8gb waiting for the 40x series

GTX 1080 titan. Been running like a champ this entire time and finally met a roadblock when i tried playing the new halo game. But other than that it still runs everything else fine.

MSI ventus 3x, was all I could get. Bought when they were first releasing the cards.

Yesterday I got a 3060ti at Bestbuy. My PC is like 9 years old so I will probably save it till I build a new PC later on.

Why the fuck would you buy it then? 40 series is right around the corner.

>He thinks he will be able to buy a 40 series before the bots

Who is still buying new hardware to mine?

The next card is always right around the corner.

And 3-4 months out is not "right around the corner".

Just recently bought a MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X 24GB.
god I hope I know what I'm doing, I've never built a computer before

The problem are not the miners but the scalpers + Chip shortage.

>the problem are not the miners
Ignoring your obvious ESL, miners are a huge customer-base for NVidia and are a big part of the last shortage.

1080

>Bestbuy
Did you actually go into a store? I live like two minutes from a Best Buy but I haven't set foot in there since COVID. I should go look around.

Because I work at Bestbuy and constantly see the same arabs and chinks picking them up from botting. This cancelled when I walked in so I snatched it and plan on selling my 3060 tuf gamer card I got in the last fall to my brother for $250.

3060ti

Damn, people still work at best buy? I quit in 2018 when I graduated, it was bad then and has only gotten worse. Get the fuck out if you know what's good for you.

rx 200
looking to upgrade but god prices suck or half the cards are fucking broken

See They cut staff to where there are only like five employees on the floor and four managers just barking orders to get credit cards. I hate it and want to get an analyst or project manager job to start a career, but at least I have full time perks and benefits so it is something and like 6 minutes from my house.

gigabyte 3080ti but im returning it to newegg for the evangelion 3080ti

I got a MIS bachelors, but I'm just trying to help my mom out since my dad fucked around with a second family and peaced out. So I'm just trying to pay the bills and find something good so my mom doesn't need to work again, but no one wants me it seems. We can take game stuff that gets recycled so that is a plus.

1070. Waiting to see how the 4000 series will play out.

Good luck, user

Is GPUs on store shelves an American thing? I live in Ireland and I've never seen one in a store and no electronic stores sell them

RTX 3070 ti OC Vision
