I agree, i think the main deal is probably that it is more Plot focused, Lobcorp had plot obviously, but at the start you are probably just in it for the Abnos and learning their kink and lore rather then why the staff and shit, meanwhile Ruina is very much "Victim of the week provides world building".
Basically LobCorp is more about you discovering shit yourself while fucking around.

I think the game started being enjoyable when you unlock passive attribution since that lets you go crazier with builds, they should unlock that feature earlier.

Well the returning cast feels flanderized because the Sephs stories are over and Angela keeps "b-but muh suffering". Plus is more focus om the world itself and Roland.

honestly i much preferred ruina to LC, LC was filled with too many bugs and overall jank. I love both games but i prefer ruina's gameplay to LC
