>1030.49 per month

Just get a job, you can afford that on minimum wage. Just live in the car.

Do Amerimutts really?

Teslas are low-security timebombs with proprietary parts and literal paid DLC features. It's the ultimate retardmobile

Not in civilized countries

>74k for a car
>Not even a fancy car, it's just a Volkswagen
Am I reading this right?

Your screenshot makes me think you're joking but in case you're not:
>The average auto loan interest rate is 4.07% for new cars and 8.62% for used cars, according to Experian's State of the Automotive Finance Market report for the first quarter of 2022.

Why is it higher for used cars?

Why the fuck is OP's pic paying so much then?

I'm struggling with this too. I'm assuming it's not american dollars, maybe NZ?

Used cars are technically more risky for the dealer since they have wear and tear and it's hard to determine exactly how much a used car is worth. Even with things like Carfax you never truly know the cars history. The car could be perfectly fine on the lot and then two days after being purchased the transmission could fail. People who buy used are more likely to default on their loans too, which means the dealer would have to reposess an even more used car than what they sold. Lastly they do it because it's a fucking scam.

jesus, and I thought my 12% interest was bad

>72 months
That is 6 years.
He is still paying for it, and now he is also paying 7 dollars a gallon for gas on top of that.

>21% interest
Jesus fuck that dealership really wants that car back as soon as possible

any number of reasons, but my guess is bad credit and little to no down payment

and if I had bothered to look closer at the paperwork, I'd see that there was no down payment

In south florida, most undocumented people can get a really basic sedane for $600-700/month for 72 months. Then add another 200 for insurance. They usually get 2 to 4 cars per family. Then they tell them "bring friends, if they get a car we'll give you $100" so it's a chain reaction

no, the car itself is about 33k
with the other fees the dealer charges, the principle of the loan is about 41k
once you account for interest accrued over the course of the loan, you're paying 74k

>They usually get 2 to 4 cars per family
W-What? Are those spare cars?
