why should I play the spinoff instead of the original? Please answer because it's on sale and I need to choose
Logan Walker
People on these threads usually play the original game, but for the spinoff
>more variety in enemies, classes, and items >prettier graphics >you don't need to buy DLC, MCOWH is like a sidegrade to the OWH+ DLC
There's negatives, but a lot of them are in comparison to the original game's QoL like the FPS cap. If you get MCOWH, make sure you turn on the visible trap setting in the options menu.

This seed seems pretty nice so far, plentiful resources just lying all over the place in the mountains.
It is still cute, just in a different way. Most seem to say that MCOWH isn't as good as the original. I'll look into it a bit more before I decide. I'm already getting like 9 other things this steam sale. I usually don't buy much.

Why is there a naked girl if not a h game.
Caleb Green
I think MCOWH is still good, as long as you set traps to visible. If you aren't super strapped for money, it's just a dollar on sale anyway.

I've pirated a lot of games, but this game is the only one that explicitly gave me a virus when I pirated it,

Pretty lucky positioning for Demon Lord and miniboss squad.
Eh fuck it I bought it. Hope its fun, never played a roguelike before.
Jason Richardson
which one? Mystery Chronicle blows
Dominic Wood
OWH. Looks fun enough

I bought this like eight years ago and have never once played it

It's a very simplistic game. It used to be FOTM a long time ago, having more people participate in a seed makes it more interesting since you can see their progress and try to outlast them, seeing their ghosts spawn in your world when they die.
I do think there's something quite charming about the original game though, it's got soul.

Hows it compare to shiren? Been thinking about getting, and love shiren
similar tactical gameplay? Roguelikes can get boring if its too easy, or just hours of bump combat with no actual strategy.
Mason Morgan
You shouldn’t. The spin-off has a shitload more classes but the balance is god awful and it runs like shit for some reason
Chase Morris
Yeah, you need to constantly move right to live so you reach those "critical" roguelike moments where you have to be very careful often enough, but it never reaches the complexity of shiren's pot autism
