My PC shuts itself off after I play a modern game for 40-60 minutes. CPU temperatures seem normal though (40C to 70C when playing). I think it's my power supply that's the issue, is there any way to salvage it bros or am I forced to replace it?

Is it really that hard to keep a PC cool and quiet?
t. building my first PC soon

i have a similar issue but the lights on my harddrive/ethernet cord still light up, some user told me its a power supply issue but i dunno for sure

if you want quiet don't buy any trash with window panels, there are cases with sound dampening material go for one of those, the window novelty wears out real quick when you're trying to watch something and the fucking fans go vrrrrrrrrrrrr

If it's the power supply then you gotta replace it or it'll fuck up other components

Fine. It gets to 77~ degrees Celsius when playing at 144hz with my ultrawide. Beyond that, gaming for me is usually 40 or 50 degrees.

Sometimes just cleaning out the dust can fix this, I had the same problem so I was about to replace the PSU but first I decided to take a look at it and opened up the thing and gave a good dusting some oil to the fan and put it back together and it worked again.

>heat
Good luck with that cunts. It is the one time of year that I can actually demanding games without almost melting my gpu. It is also pretty nice outside. Have fun with all that heat yanks.
