They should have held off on the ps5 until this year and had it have better hardware or better form factor as no games even came out for the ps5 in 2020 or 2021 anyways.

4k tvs are really cheap now, as in lower class can afford to get them, so it's like HD tvs were near the end of the 7th gen.
There's one major problem with the generational leap that everyone ignores and that's that it hasn't really happened yet, the PS5 screenshot you showed is in a game that was ported to PS5 not designed around it, and the prevalence of cross gen games has made the transition far less effective, you need to look at something like Ratchet and Clank on PS5 and PS4 side to side and the difference is massive, Rift Apart looks as good as a CGI film. Most retards here for some reason used to say that the PS4 was barely a leap over the PS3, but that's completely false, the move to PBR alone was a major change, then there's characters moving past 100k tris, significantly higher res textures, particle effects, FF7 remake looks in many places better than Advent Children, the quality of the materials alone is massivel

Yes. The more powerful CPUs and SSDs substantially improve performance, even if not the raw graphical output of the game. But now the current-gen consoles won't need to be replaced for a very long time. This gen should last at least a decade.

The PS5 version is a port. The jump from PS3 to PS4 was enormous. This low quality image doesn't do any of these games justice.

Yes. We're graphics whores and anything that doesn't run at a solid 30 or 60fps is considered broken now. They got away with it in the PS3 era, but as soon as they had to sell you PS4 Pro consoles it became about setting a minimum standard for resolution and performance. Also using SSDs to reduce loading times is a wide improvement, even if it isn't universally applied.

I loved Spider-Man (2000). Spider-Man 2 on PS2 was pretty good too though. Most of the games afterwards seemed kinda lame, although the PS4 one looks alright. Not sure
