Yes, they dumbed down the combat trying to appeal to the soulsfags
then you have shit story and characters
literally no enemy variety
the only good thing are the graphics
The game sold a lot so we can expect more garbage like arise.

"Of course, it's a singleplayer game, that's the norm" is what I would like to say, but the reception of Arise felt incredibly forced. It really felt like the people excited about it didn't care for either the series or JRPGs in general save for maybe Persona 4 and 5.
It's undeniable that it sold well, but it didn't seem to stick with any demographic, it really was flavor of the month, in the actual meaning of the term and not whatever Any Forums feels like shitposting for being popular.
Anyway, post more Magilou.

the first third of the game had promise, but much like half the series, the other two thirds shit the bed so hard that I had to force myself to finish it. for what it's worth, at least it didn't drag itself out as long as berseria
