>try to talk about the souls games
>"Woah, aren't those games like SUPER HARD, user? Like, you die and they send you back to the start, right user?"
>Teenage girl at work (daughter of some employee) starts talking about videogames
>"Wow user you love videogames too? That's so cool! My parents hate them"
>Tell her "Yeah, I have hundreds of games on steam"
>"Omg user, please adopt me!"
>Tell her "why would I want to adopt you?"
>"I will give you lots of love, the kind only a daughter could give"

It's a lizardwoman user don't fall for it user DONT FALL FOR IT
>bring your daughter to work day
>10 years into the wage grind
>have a good income and can afford everything I wanted as a child/teen including my dream JDM car

>recently played PSO on the dreamcast with my wife which reignited some old vidya feels
>still listen to pre 2010 vidya soundtracks which tickle the itch
Is it modern gaming that's the problem, or have I just changed? I can't honestly picture kids/teens in 15 years time reminiscing about fucking fortnite of all things

>mom starts talking about videogames
I doubt she realized how what she was saying sounded as she was saying it. Teenagers do that a lot, you'll understand soon enough.
probably both honestly. yes the industry has changed but so did you. it's not a bad thing in this case
>"I will give you lots of love, the kind only a daughter could give"
That sounds way dirtier than it should.
>Is it modern gaming that's the problem, or have I just changed?
The way to test this is by playing some oldfag games you haven't played yet.
I think modern gaming is fucking dog shit save for a few gems and anyone born after 1998 is a retard with a huge disadvantage in life purely because of the time they were put into the womb

That's actually a really good idea user, I will give this a go. I have tried this with remasters but we know they're not the same, I'll see what I can find!
