this game is unironically great
how come Any Forums was so right about it?

It was organically popular on Any Forums before the site became overrun with marketers and special interest groups.

Just wanted to say that if they didn't have a demo back in PS3 I would probably have never cared about it.
I have now bought a total 6 copies of DD.

How gimped am i if i play Assasin with sword/mace instead of dagger
I unironically think the dagger moveset is just fucking boring bar for the one skill that knocks up light enemies then shoots out fire which is sick

Broken clock is right twice a day

builds barely matter, min-maxing is boring shit and you will pretty much always be OP endgame unless you literally stand there and do nothing

There's a few rules to Any Forums. Never trust animefags opinion on games. Never trust opinion about games when most discussion are about cooming to the characters (unless it's a porn game). Always trust me.

As a follow-up I'd like to add that I am trans, if that matters

I tried to replay it recently and felt there wasnt much stuff in the world like caves or dungeons to explore. Feels kinda empty, probably because they just want you to NG+ over and over I guess.
Whats there is good though, I just hope they let you equip more attack skills next time. Being limited to three per weapon isn't fun.

>organically popular
>gained all the popularity through spamming comparison images and webms with Dark Souls
If anything it was the most blatant targeted marketing campaign. You're just used to marketed games being complete trash.

It should be really be more "never take Any Forums's opinion as fact" then "always do the opposite of what Any Forums says"

Damn symone and this stupid quest, already got the forged gold idol from stacking barrels in her home but want the real one as well. Lost an hour and half of progress because she decided to full on sprint in a circle and then yell at me just before leaving the market

Getting your pawn hired is easy, just have some fashion sense

>As a follow-up I'd like to add that I am trans
It does, no one likes you and you will grow more masculine with each passing year. Good luck!

Any Forums baited me into playing this fun game and I fucking love it
not really it was a friend being upset I kept putting off playing it, but Any Forums threads are fun

Thanks! :3

i found it boring as fuck, most of the game is spent walking or fucking around with the inventory

She always do the same routine. I never fail that quest. The only "hard" section is the stroll in the market but you just keep your distance from her while she runs around. You don't have to be at melee range from her.

If you're not a retarded nigger you'd know you only have to walk to any location once

More like have your pawn below level 100 because most people won't spend a shitton of rc to hire a pawn with a level higher than theirs, especially in early game
once you reach level 200 I can guarantee you that the hiring of your pawn will start plummeting

I didn't have that experience, she only started getting hired around level 70, and we're at 130 in that image.
>once you reach level 200 I can guarantee you that the hiring of your pawn will start plummeting
I always restart earlier because the game gets too easy

I must be the only person on this site who didn't love this game.
The open world is huge, mostly empty, boring and as a result a chore to traverse.
Combat is all about grinding.
Climbing monster is fun at first, but it gets tedious because there are only a few monsters where you can do it and they get reused all the time.

The campy voice acting was fun though.
"Masterworks all. Can't go wrong."

You can't use hammers with assassin. Also it doesn't matter, sword/shield assassin is really fun

I probably had the most fun when I was cringe roleplaying with the pawns while doing sidequests, like killing undeads near the abbey

To anyone who played it, is there much they could take from the MMO they shut down? I saw footage of a alchemist vocation which looked more like a monk with flashy magic powers. What other vocations are there and what even was the plot of the MMO, just one dragon making multiple arisen?

>plays like MMO
>BING BING WAHOOO click fest
>Monster climbing mechanic inferior to Shadow of the Colossus, basically just walk up and do damage weeeeeee
>Towns and settlements are barren
>World is MMO grindfest and same mobs populating the same place

Magic system was cool with caster actually needing time to cast big spells but other wise this game is overrated and nothing but a single player MMO mechanic burden of a borefest game.

I liked it for one playthrough, but I don't think I'll every do another. Bought Dark Arisen, played for a couple of hours and never got back to it.

I think some classes got split into two, like Strider's archery was made into Hunter and using daggers meant you had to play as seeker.

>bar for the one skill that knocks up
W-where do I get this skill
asking for a friend

The skill's called toss and trigger, just get a dagger using vocation to rank 3 iirc
