Soma to me is by far the worst. I just think that era of Castlevania was so fucking lame. The games themselves are good and fun with Circle of the Moon being my favorite but Soma to me represents them going from cool badass manly heroes to now we have a androgynous looking anime schoolboy pussified bitchboy character in a furry white coat who cracks corny ass jokes and wields a pussy dagger as a starting weapon instead of a whip. I can get behind Alucard despite his flaws but the Soma period of Castlevania was such a turning point and the people who were making the games at the time were a different breed of human entirely. I never would have imagined the reincarnation of Dracula would be such a clueless faggy fucking character. It was no longer cool to like Castlevania by that point.
