It's only well known due to smash, and only beloved due to its initial obscurity as a "nintendo rpg" with "feels" but really it's unfunny and any attempt at any emotion but bad out of place pop culture jokes falls flat. I like it cause it mixes in untraditional/real world stuff an enemies.
I like the sci fi elements of aliens, time travel and psychic powers.
I like the suburban/world trotting feel to it.
I like the combat when the rolling stats can really be used and inventory management never bothered me and just made you plan out who holds what better.
I like a decent amount of its music.
I like its visual style.
There is nothing inherently bad about the game itself, just most of its fans. Its not super quirky and its not super 2deep4u, its just what it is, but fags cant leave it like that. Im ashamed to say i like this game because of all of the faggots who have attached it to their personality. I just wanted a semi goofy, different rpg about kids in suburban America fighting aliens.
