Selaco looks promising too. It's like a mock boomer shooter. Demo: store.steampowered.com/app/1592280/Selaco/

kill yourself gggman

Gunplay is okay, AI is garbage that can't be compared to FEAR

It's pretty fun,
but it just feels like FEAR without any of the soul and atmosphere, like an offbrand copy.
Its just something you play and then forget.
Still somewhat better than most shit lately.

>without any of the soul and atmosphere
To be honest I thought the horror sections of FEAR were laughable even at the time. Not that that's a bad thing when it nails the dumb pulpy tone of 90's Jap horror, but I'm not really sure what "atmosphere" you mean when the game's structure is those sections connecting a series of random offices and warehouses to fight in.

Tried the demo and it's ok, feels kinda scuffed tho. The og F.E.A.R. is better imo

the demo has horrible level design and the framerate tanks as soon as you step out of the building

Trepang2 plays a lot like FEAR but lacks soul.
Selaco plays less like FEAR but has a lot of soul.

Both games are great but I enjoyed Selaco more.

>zoomie shaky cam pling pling
this is not fear at all you fucking retard. God I hate e-celebs for bringing in underages to old shooters

lmao shut the fuck up zoom zoom you weren't there and you grew up on Minecraft porn

Do you know what a tranny flag looks like? That's not it lol

Why do you think thats why he posted the picture?

It doesn't play anything like fear. Not in combat, not in atmosphere, not in sound, not in gameplay.

Morons see slow-mo, gore, and flashy particles and shadows, and automatically think that's what makes it like fears gameplay. The gameplay is nothing similar.

Trepang2 has nothing subtle about it, feels floaty and weightless no momentum, utterly bombastic to the point where you become numb to it all. Keeps trying to one-up itself by constantly needing to throw whiteboard ideas at the player constantly, like with dual wield everything. Cool? sure, maybe. Like fear, not even close.

Sound is annoying too, gunshots peak and sound compressed while also being overbearing. Has no consideration of balance in the way Fear does it. There is balance in both audio and visual spectacle in the combat in Fear, not in T2.

T2s camera recoil is totally inconsiderate in allowing the player to see the carnage they are creating. Fear does it better. Damage values are wonked in T2 because it's reminiscent to a traditional tactical shooter without any of the grounded elements to support it (most of fears weapons weren't OHK to the enemys head, for instance). The inherent sponginess of FEARs common enemies is what ultimately makes the shooting feels so meaty, which is totally lost in trepang, -you blow people up to pieces but none of it feels earned, and the helmet armor are totally unnecessary. It's a design flaw because in trepang2 you have to create your own excessiveness to get the spectacle. In FEAR, the excessiveness was inline to what you're doing anyway when shooting enemies.

It isn't FEAR or anything like it, and anyone who says it is has no idea what made FEARs combat great.
