Is it possible to pirate games on a Steam Deck without installing windows? There are some games that'd be nice to play on it but I'm not dropping $40 or whatever on them.

Not sure if repack work, but also I don't see why their installer shouldn't work... I'd test it if I wasn't so lazy

No, you better start using windows.

There should be no complications at all, just do it as you would on a PC, add it to Steam to launch it in gaming mode preferably

Wine/proton used on steamOS doesn't like pirated software.

yes, it is possible to play pirated games on Linux

Of course it is. What possible reason has made you believe otherwise?

Currently yes, but there has been insider information revealing that Valve aims to make their deck platform a walled garden that prevents you from getting any game outside of Steam. I'd recommend other UMPC's, just as GPD, who are vocally against such a practice.

Proof?

if you're familiar with pirating on linux, it should all work.
there are a lot of problems with pirated versions of linux games, static links to ubuntu binaries etc etc, so ironically windows versions are a better bet. that said, i've had a questionable time getting the cracks to work.
this is propaganda

Reminder that this piece of chinkshit costs like a thousand bucks lmao

Still not seeing any proof.

Yea, check johncena141's uploads

you're so desperate that you're really resorting to just making shit up at this point? have some dignity, man.

>but there has been insider information revealing that Valve aims to make their deck platform a walled garden that prevents you from getting any game outside of Steam
valve doesn't do shit like this.

All the seethe posts yup only valve shills and troons in this thread
user is correct starting with main regular steam deck hardware updates being walled garden behind steam os 3.0 the same os where it is difficult to pirate Linux games than normal linux anyone who is claiming otherwise is a massive fucking liar and shill

Yes, absolutely

SteamOS is an operating system based on Linux.
Pirating games for Linux will work just fine.
For more advanced shit, like stuff that requires WINE, it might be more complex

Actual chinese shills seem to be getting desperate if they're resorting to this.

it's funny how every time someone on Any Forums asks a question about Steam Deck the answer is "it's a PC"
