Tried way too hard to appeal to lorefags and kids and ended up ruining the entire indie horror scene because of it as well.

>Bendy and The Ink Machine
>Tattletail
>Hello Neighbor
>Poppy Playtime

There's a whole lot I forgot about but what happened to all the other fnaf ripoffs?

>fnaf lore
Is it decent at least?

I feel like FNAF 2 kinda cursed the series with its choices. Making the first game's cast into misguided good guys instead of the psychotic murder machines that chomped out someone's frontal lobe always struck me as a mistake, same for adding multiple locations into the backstory. All the sequels are miles away from the atmosphere of FNAF 1.

An indie studio tried to create an AAA game without proper talent or a big enough workforce, if steel wool focusus on smaller releases we could still get some good stuff. The golden age is over though.

I blame Matpat for turning the lore into a convoluted web of stupid bullshit and I blame Scott for going along with it

pandering to memespamming coomers

UCN was the perfect ending but popular things can never just end anymore

I think 3’s still the best ending but UCN was pretty fun as a shitpost kind of game.

Yes and no, If you go through the games in release order, it starts out simple, but gets more and more convoluted as it goes on

Highlights include (But are not limited to):

>4 ends with you seeing the bite of 87 except the one you see takes place in 1983, so there's now TWO bites, and to this day no one knows who did the one from 87
>SL ends with the MC (who is the son of the main villain) getting his organs torn out so a fusion of robots can wear his skin as a suit to blend in. But it eventually begins to rot, so the hybrid abandons the suit WHICH THEN COMES BACK TO LIFE and goes on to become the MC of the 6th game
>The main villain is presented as a simple serial killer, but goes on to become a mad scientist, who builds robots made to kidnap children, and even sports a British accent
>The series ends with a random guy revealing himself to be the co-owner of the company, and he burns down a pizzeria(which is actually a decoy to lure in animatronics) with all the remaining animatronics inside to finally end the madness
>The send-off custom night game is revealed via, game over taunts to be the main villain's personal hell orchestrated by one of his victims.
>If you count the new one as canon (which you shouldn't) the killer SOMEHOW comes back to life and brainwashes a 18 year old girl to follow in his footsteps

And I didn't even touch up on the secondary material, which is canon to the main series but at the same time not really, which contains things like a time traveling ball pit, synthetic humans, and a man giving birth to a springtrap baby thing

It's fucking nuts and hardly makes a lick of sense, but it's fairly entertaining and you'll want to see what the hell they come with next.

The Desolate Abandon NEVER

Connection terminated.

Scott cared too much about what the fans thought. MatPat made things worse. He kept making the story more retarded just to mess with MatPat and keep the lore junkies interested, then the excessive humor was the final nail in the coffin with World.

Hello Neighbor was never a FNAF ripoff, it just fell into the same issue (trying to appeal to theoryfags for free publicity.)
It was a genuinely fun and original game, shame they ruined it.

I think one of the more convoluted things revealed was the fact that there's two people in Golden Freddy but that was a decent one all things considered
so apparently this faggot's name is Evan Afton, right? where was that even found out?

Scott is a right-wing fascist, and fascists don't know how to write stories for shit.

His gullible fans bought his games, and now Scott won't have to work a single day in his entire life again. Hope he dies.

Weak bait, but it will be taken regardless

Just because Matpat made theory videos on them that doesn't make them FNAF ripoffs, since the way the play and the story is completely different.
>>Bendy and The Ink Machine
The final chapter got released in 2017 and the creator have been working on the sequel called Boris and the Dark Survival, which has received numerous updates that adds a lot of content, in fact, the newest update got released this year.
>>Tattletail
Got a DLC a year later and the devs haven't done anything about the IP since then.
>>Hello Neighbor
Instead of focusing on making the game better, the devs tried so hard for the IP to be the next FNAF by making lore more and more nonsensical and making the game fun to watch a playthrough instead of being of fun to play.
>>Poppy Playtime
The devs got in trouble for "plagiarism", BUT it's still getting more content, the third chapter will be released in 2023.

From what we gathered here, Bendy and Poppy are the only series that's still alive and hasn't gone downhill yet.

Weaver stopped drawing porn with them

No bitches?

>the fact that there's two people in Golden Freddy but that was a decent one
If it's true, it's really dumb that you'd have to analyze an activity book and and read the books to get hints that Golden Freddy is two kids at all. It sounds like Scott wanted to have FNAF 4 end with Golden Freddy being "Evan", but later remembered that FNAF 1 and 2 showed a fifth victim who went missing at the pizzeria.
>where was that even found out?
Allegedly in a coded crossword puzzle, solved after a short story came out where Evan was the name of the father of a character whose story paralleled "Evan" in the games.

>From what we gathered here, Bendy and Poppy are the only series that's still alive and hasn't gone downhill yet.

Poppy maybe, but Bendy is more or less dead. Boris and the dark survival was just a spinoff game, the actual sequel was announced in 2019, and there's only been a few screenshots and pieces of merch since then, and there's the fact that the company behind bendy got into some trouble earlier that year for laying half their employees before christmas, and It came out that the devs only had the ending for bendy planned and just made things up and stole theories as they went along didn't help much.

Accidentally created the juggernaut known as family friendly youtube horror and fell prey to itself when Scott sold it off.
