Teleglitch.

>Cold Fear
>710 reviews (Very Positive)
"RE4 clone" (even though it came out just two months later), except you can actually move and aim. also reminds me of the "The THING" game a little bit (another great hidden gem you should play).
you're in the Coast Guard investigating a distress signal that came from a huge Russian ship. also has a chunk of the game take place on an oil rig, which is a cool location that's rare for horror games, for some reason.
has a mix of both third person (over the shoulder when aiming) and fixed camera angles that work nicely.
make sure to read the PCGW page for this one though, there's a few fixes you'll probably want, like ThirteenAG's widescreen patch.

Iconoclasts has 3k reviews, but I've never seen anyone talk about it. I loved it's story.

>hidden gem
It has less than 1000 reviews not because it's obscure but because it was released in 2005.

>so hecking BASED
>I am a GVMER so I will buy this shit game to support the epic devrinos
it isn't different from troons buying woke shit.

hoping nightfall hacker receives a discount.

If sub 1000 reviews is the gauge then here are my suggestions
Ancient Domains of Mystery
Freedom Fighters
Death to Spies
Darklands
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

The Chameleon. A short and simple, but stylish stealth game. The dev is also working on an MGS1-like top-down game.

>Signal Simulator
>721 reviews (Very Positive)
Simulator (obviously) where you scan the galaxy for extraterrestrial life. Has a few spoopy things but mostly very comfy. you can put video files into a folder and watch them on the VHS player at your desk (picrel).

no one cared about it back when it released because RE4 overshadowed it, not very many played it and even fewer remember it today, so it fits the thread.
>No hay SIM

You got friends? This is good. Otherwise not so much.

Its has more than 1000 reviews but I never see it mentioned. Its a pretty good darkest dungeon clone

>pic related is the narrator
Unlike other clones, they knew the importance of the narrator and went big.

PC control is awful, and it goes to hell once you get off the boat.

Pig Eat Ball
1000000000 million people get filtered when they see this game because they notice the vomit mechanics and go EWWWWWWWW but if your not a faggot it's a surprisingly fun arcade-style puzzle game with boss fights and secrets in many hub worlds to explore, pretty decent length too, 20 hours if you want to unlock everything

I own this game on GOG, but I don't why. I certainly didn't buy it.

Dysmantle.
Despite having over 6k reviews, I've seen this game mentioned one time since it came out, so I'm posting about it anyway.
>Survival crafting game with no base building aspects about a white male trying to escape a post-apocalyptic island, survival mechanics are also heavily downplayed, no need to eat food, temperature system is more a check to make sure you've gotten the gear to properly explore a specific zone
>Almost the entire map is destructible as long as you have the right tool
