In order to join without issues, don't download the mod manually. The server will handle that for you. Doing so otherwise won't let you connect and you would have to verify the cache/remove the manually installed mod.

No special occasion other than anons/regulars wanting to play it over the week. The game is that good. Usually there's good pool of players joining in so... why not make a thread to let people know about the good word.
