It would be BETTER if that was the case. Loop Hero is like the worst part of Witcher 3 random level scaling lootdrops as your primary means of progressing, with little build variety, and boring as fuck """gameplay""".

It takes elements from those autoplay mobile trash and mix them with a roguelike system.

I HATE it.

It's terrible when you play a game and you can easily imagine the exact same game 10x times better with almost no effort. Why are you limited to like 12 cards? Why is loot so randomized instead of something you can choose or level up based on tiles you place? Why is the entire game based around the meta-perma progression element of slowly grinding +1% attack and max HP bonuses instead of just having a single map + loop that you can beat after playing long enough? It's fucking retardly designed.

the ONLY thing it has going for it is its artstyle which I admit is pretty nice, and the music, but wasted on this SHIT game. Cookie Clicker is UNIRONICALLY better with deeper gameplay then this piece of SHIT fucking trash.

For information this game reached 500K sales in one month. For comparison, Monster Train reached 500K sales in one year.

It's basically a puzzle game. The random loot drops barely matter, since the single most important part of the game is where/when you place your cards and you'll always get enough of whatever you put in your deck that the random element of getting them is a non-issue. I'll give you that grinding resources is gay, but optimizing your card layouts to get what you need is another sort of puzzle so it didn't bother me so much. The fun of the game is figuring out what cards you need and how to place them to beat the boss, everything else is frills.
I'm the same sort of person who plays Factorio and Mountain Blade for thousands of hours, so maybe you need a special sort of autism to enjoy it.
