I wish I waited for chiv 2

people need to play field engineer more often. build some fucking walls and pick up a good weapon, it makes a huge fucking difference and i'm tired of being 1/4 in a match

they're both dogshit for retards who just want to swing swords and think
>"OOOOOOOOH KNIGHTS SO COOOOOOOL"
instead of anything about medieval warfare
fuck you

I'm too retarded for it. I can't kill people who do nothing but spam M1 and block.

Tell me about the siege towers and destructible environments. How mobile and destructible are they?

you gotta dodge and kick.

siege towers are like the bomb carts in tf2, they're objectives that move when players are near.

Kick them to break their block or wind up a heavy to throw off their timing.

I thought the point of counters was to punish predictable people but even when I counter an M1er at the earliest possible timing they still block my hit so I don't get it. I guess I'll try kicking but that usually gets me killed, especially if there's more than one opponent.
>wind up a heavy to throw off their timing.
Can't they just hold down block?

It's literally a coinflip dude. Run up on a guy and pretend to hit him but actually feint then hit him. When he gets smart to that just start hitting him.

the trick is to never fight alone. back away into a crowd of people, or swoop in on enemies who are already occupied. until you get the hang of timing and range for the various weapons, stay in the group - thats always the best plan, even at high levels
not at all. only a few things can be broken - catapults and ballistas, which can be rebuilt and used by either side. walls, pavises, bear traps and spike traps set by players. out houses (no purpose, but you can hide in them). and some hanging objects can be shot/hit with thrown weapons and then they fall and kill anyone underneath

counters are swings that dont cost stamina. if the opponents weapon swings faster than yours, youre gonna get hit. learn your ranges and timings, and work on finding the opening between or before attacks

When you chamber you have to feint then hit them. The pieve of the puzzle you're missing is feinting.

the rapier's special attack is top tier

Not saying you're wrong but I don't understand how a feint works when the opponent can just hold block until whatever you swing with lands anyway. I'm talking about Chiv 2 btw, not Mordhau.

how can you have fun in this clusterfuck of a game? i refunded it after an hour and bought deep rock galactic instead

What's your guys favorite class?

Chiv2 = spin to win haha
Mordhau = oh no I actually have to get good at the game!

funny, i started playing this in december, and then DRG in january, but played it to death and dropped it hard within a month. never stopped playing this aside from when i was out of town - it either hooks you or it doesnt

I tried the beta or demo or whatever last year and the shit was way too chaotic. In the first game you of course had big fights on objective maps but even then a lot of the time there would be people fighting 1v1 or in small groups off to the sides to push/defend flanks. In the few hours I played of the sequel EVERY match was just a huge clump of people following the cart and spamming wildly at each other. That turned me off of buying it, but I don't necessarily know that the full game is like that.
