The PSP and the Vita were pretty kino so I wouldn't mind. They wouldn't survive the modern gaming climate though.

Considering the PS5 is a massive flop and Jim is porting everything to PC, Sony will be going the Sega route in a few years. PS5 will be the final Playstation and Sony will make their only store for PC

Outside Spiderman, that doesn't translate to indefinite longevity like a Sonic or Mario or whatever. It's blockbuster IP for a handful of games, but not something you can build a whole brand around or worlds around. And Spider-Man can only do so much itself - it's not the whole fucking Marvel Universe. Sony only has dibs on Spidey and X-Men for now, and they have to tiptoe from referencing shit outside it because of everyone involved in Marvel is trying to out-Jew the other.

i mean sure during the snes/nes era, but the ps1 through 4 destroyed anything nintendo put out. switch and wii had big sales numbers, but they are very gimmick focused and just dont have games anyone but kids care about.

But it's all disposable shit they've never capitalized on, while Nintendo is trucking along without a care in the world. Microsoft is now doing a better Sony than Sony ever did - they've got all the knack for disposable blockbuster movie shit for western dipshits, and a ton of iconic IP now to boot. Sony has nothing. Some of the iconic IP they were even known for was never theirs and now stolen right out from under them, like Crash and Spyro. They have nothing but movie shit that goes nowhere longterm. They can't do jack shit with Last of Us, for example, except "remake" it.
