Why should I make a new thread about the same subject but without the posts of the old thread for context? Forumlets were never able to answer this.

If necroposting is such a great evil, why don't moderators just lock old threads? Why not just lock them automatically after a while?

I was trying to find out how to do something with a PSP CSO file and came across a forum post from ~10 years ago of someone trying to do the same thing. There was a reply that amounted to "Well you wouldn't be running into this problem if you bought the UMD. Piracy discussion is against the rules of the forum."
I created an account for this backwater forum, name was "cooldude420" or something and pfp was a deliberately low quality pic of SSJ3 Goku (a la pic related.) My reply was "i created an account to reply to this 8 year old post just to call you a faggot" and reported him.
Wish I could find the post. Fuck that faggot.

I remember some kid asking in a mount and blade forum the ID of a sword he wanted to give himself with cheats because it never spawned in shops, or something similar can't remember exactly.
Them some dicksucker appeared and started to shit up on the poor kid for half an hour. The next day one of the devs posted the answer the kid wanted. The amount of butthurt and bending overbackwards of the dicksucker to fellate the dev while simultaneously trying to save face was fucking gold.
I wish I could find that post again.
