What's the point of choice in a turn based RPG?

If you play as a different class in an action RPG like Dark Souls then there's a different feel to the game, but with something like FF5 then seriously what's the point? If you can beat the game with any class then it doesn't matter

>playstyle doesnt matter

If it's done interestingly, then the different classes will have stand-out characteristics. It wasn't perfect but FF6 did this well with the special actions each character had, although some of them fall off hard by endgame. Compared to FF8 where the junction system trivializes most build variety.

But that still doesn't really matter if you can beat the game with any playstyle

Either bait or you're retarded. Why play a game at all if it has the same ending no matter the playstyle?

If you can beat dark souls with any build then it doesn't matter

Games end when you beat the final boss. It's that simple.

Don't correct me, faggot.

You make no sense at all. If you beat the game, you beat the game.
Don't tell me you're one of those turbo autists who go around saying "IT DOESN'T COUNT BECAUSE YOU DID THIS!"

Do you idiots even try anymore?

It's not that it doesn't count
It's just what's the point

Having fun.

Whats the point in beating the game? That's the objective of the fucking game, retard.

I find it hilarious when autists complained when DSP defeated all Elden Ring bosses with Jump attack as if it was some sort of glitch.

>then there's a different feel to the game
this also applies to turn based RPGs.

People will always complain when people find ways to trash the game. No one bitches and moans when someone uses Thievery to mog every single boss in ff9 or someone beats xenoblade 2 with one trash common blade.
