I thought the same thing, make sure you play it till after midgar at least, the middle chunk of midgar (other than the bombing mission and the tower) are complete shit, everything else is kino. Midgar filtered me hard on my first playthrough. If you don’t get hooked by the time you get the vehicle drop it

I forgot to elaborate, by vehicle I mean the vehicle on the overworld (once you leave midgar) I forgot about that terrible driving sequence in midgar
