there is not a single thing wrong with this list

Some of it's legit good or at least not bad, but it really reads more like "list of popular music from popular games", like always.
The fact that umineko is on there at all is fucking embarassing though.

This

Pure popularity contest.

Those are mostly all really good selections. Of course ranking them like that will always provoke arguments. But any such list is going to have many of those tracks I think.

Good list, can't find any fault with it.

The lack of Ace Combat is a travesty.

>Literally nothing but Japanese games
Why can't the west make good vidya music?

There's Civ4 and Diablo in the second one, which is kinda hilarious in itself.
Not exactly the same thing, but there's some really glaring popularity bias in the list that way, yeah. The lack of even a single song from any shmup is telling - you can say what you want about the games being shit or whatever, but the one thing pre-touhou shooters were known for was literally shitting out soundtracks full of bangers right and left.

Yeah where the FUCK is Pokemon?

>not a single Frank Klepacki track
>not a single Sims track
what the fuck is this horse shit

>lists both MMX and MHX for Storm Eagle
Those are absolutely NOT the same thing.

>Corridors of time in top 10
good list

This is a fairly nonsensical list without context.

>Some of it's legit good or at least not bad, but it really reads more like "list of popular music from popular games", like always.
my thoughts exact-
>The fact that umineko is on there at all is fucking embarassing though.
you just had to ruin your whole post like that

>No Nier
Shit list.

Western games music is not bad but lacks identity

Even though Undertale exists. but OP said it's a boomer list so it makes sense it's not there

Based Bloody Tears appretiators

>boomer
>no C64 or Amiga tunes
Doubt.

where drakengard? the experimental masterpiece and middle finger to your ears

Umineko has a fantastic OST. Not a game, however. No, the minigames in part 8 doesn't make it a videogame.

This list wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be

Ace Attorney is on the list too

Who actually pays attention to the music when playing games?
Unless it's a rhythm game, of course.

You constantly make choices, search for hints. It has gameplay.
Umineko only features "gameplay" in the very last part with some minigames (which are just answers to questions) and an actual case where you're already handed everything and just have to figure out the culprit(s)

complete waste of time to even look at that list
you have your own ears and your own taste. dont let other tone deaf niggers decide what you think is good.
