I've done no such thing in years. Yes, it's demoralizing.
I'm a software engineer. Flexible hours, work from home and very amiable coworkers. Plenty of time for vidya, so can't complain.

i knew a guy in Massachusetts who turned into a better-than-thou snob in 2nd grade or so. he grew up into a job... to decide who gets government housing or not.
Nice work if you can get it, I suppose. Until Musk builds his Ark B
wish I could do what you do.
i'm an EE, but I suck at it. I have wondered for a while now if I could switch to software. probably turn out the same, though.
I used to be a HVAC engineer before I got schizophrenia. Now I get disablity bucks $2k per month.
Freelance translator. I make pennies but it pays the bills and I feel free. Hated working 9 to 5.
>macfag mod
How many dicks did you suck to get the job?

I make vidya that Any Forums hates. It's ok, i like the work. Lot of problem solving.
Programmer. You wouldn't recognize the company I work for but someone you meet with regularly would.
It's pretty comfy, today I browed Any Forums for 4 hours, napped for 2, and worked for the other 2.

consultant engineering, mostly mining and environmental related stuff. I do enjoy it, good mix of office and field work, and my co-workers and seniors are pretty cool people to work with.
but my company got acquired last year, and more and more people are either leaving or retiring, and I'm starting to get worried about what it'll be like without everyone I used to work with around
Warehouse slave(not amazon) driving a forklift. Not as soul-sucking as the other warehouse jobs I've had before.
No job but I start college in august
Corporate Insurance salesman, lame af jobs, paid enough to survive. The only enjoyment i got is eating free food at conference and gouging money from other companies
