FFXIV

What's the best materia to get early? Who are the best team members? I'm new.

Make sure to grind out Aeris's final limit break

Who?

OP don't forget to rename Aeris to Aerith. The former is a mistranslation and she's called Aerith in all other media.

Out here doing God's work, Pablo.

the girl who dies.

Make sure to start leveling your All materia early. If you stick the Fire/Bolt/Ice materia on your characters the entire time you're in Midgar you'll have level 2 magic by the time you hit the world map.

MAKE SURE YOU SOLVE THE MAYOR'S RIDDLE ON THE FIRST TRY WHEN YOU GET TO THE SHINRA TOWER user. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE BEFOREHAND AND RESTART IF YOU FUCK UP. YOU GET an Elemental Materia AND IT'S SUPER USEFUL.

As far as team members go, they're pretty modular. No one character excels at any particular thing, even if Barret has more Vitality to start, for example. It all ends up evening out, so just play with who you like more

you post a pic of FF 7 but used the roman numerals for 14, which is it?

Buy one of each available materia for purchase for each party member.

Aeris/th is squishy, so give her all your stat boost sources.

RedXIII and Cait Sith for party members from disc 2 onwards for maximum damage potential.

If your materia levels up at all sell it for good Gil.

Ignore wasting materia slot on enemy skill materia. Skills are a pain to get.

Don't stop to grind. Just level up naturally was you progress from area to area.

Once a character named Yuffie leaves your party don't bother getting her back. Better to just find new materia.

Not really much else to add. Just enjoy the game and don't let others influence your opinion.

Sephiroth's Kebab

Help guys

Ruse man

Big bait, however
>Ignore wasting materia slot on enemy skill materia. Skills are a pain to get.
>Don't stop to grind. Just level up naturally was you progress from area to area.
This is legit advice.

Huh

>Ignore wasting materia slot on enemy skill materia. Skills are a pain to get.

Big Guard and White Wind are too good to ignore.

so is selling your mastered materia for stupid amounts of gil. You're not gonna miss the random Fire 3 or All materia, especially for how much gil you get for em

He's playing two instances of FFVII simultaneously

By time you master any materia, you're near the end of disc 2 and have all the gil in the world anyways.
He also said if it levels up at all, as in, sell Fire as soon as it turns into Fire2.

Enemy skill materia is brokenly powerful, good luck filling it up without a guide tho.
Use whatever healing/elemental damage you find or buy.
Unless you min-max for sub-5% difference, use whoever you like.

They're too broken. The game isn't that hard in the first place, why go out of your way to snap it in half in the first 5 hours?

Tbh I beat the game with just summons. It was literally summons the game.

isn't ff7 a really easy game where you can use whatever and still breeze through though?
