normalfags cannot help but self-insert into every piece of media they consume. which is why they drone on about "diversity" and "representation", because unless they see a character who they believe is "literally me", they can't enjoy a story. they often can't understand stories where the main character is flawed or downright evil, because in their minds it's as if the writers is calling them flawed/evil, and they get insulted. rpgs and the like are dumbed down and sanitized as a result, because the purpose of these games is no longer for you to play a role, it's for you to create yourself (or rather the ideal that you delude yourself into thinking you embody) and engage in wish fulfillment. no evil options because normalfags freak out at the implication that they could have a dark side, a part of themselves that enjoys evil acts.
