Should i buy a 3070 for ~670€?

Should i buy a 3070 for ~670€?
Need a new PC after 1,5y of playing with a 15' laptop bec i wanted to wait until prices calm down a bit, want to play mostly 1920x1080 at high framerates and the occasional AAA game (Elden Ring, maybe Diablo 4)
6600xt/6700 is cheaper, but basically not able to do raytracing at all

just steal one

I'm also in Europe, but thankfully managed to buy a 3080 for 770$ from the US a week ago. Why are the prices here so fucked still?

no

Just wait for the 4XXX and buy a 3070 after the price has dropped. A 3070 is already the best you can get for 1080p gaming, above that is overkill.

and when is that, in 4 months?

I've personally never paid more than 250€ for a GPU, and I probably never will either.
Unless you're really desperate for an upgrade, and got the money, go right ahead. Otherwise, wait. The prices are dropping, slowly but surely.

>Why are the prices here so fucked still?
Because us Europoors get everything last, and EU slaps ~24% tax on everything to boot.

Fall 2022.

my last gpu was a gtx670 for around 400€ in 2012 and it lasted me until 2020, now all i have is a shitty 15' thinkpad that gets super hot from wow classic on the lowest settings possible
i dont want to wait another 4 months or so until the prices MAYBE drop, bec 40XX release will be another paper launch with ridiculous prices

>and EU slaps ~24% tax on everything to boot
That's so true, the fucking jews. Thankfully had some family to bring it over, so atleast dodged that.

>Why are the prices here so fucked still?
Lots of hold outs, sellers being cunts and not wanting to take the loss so they're refusing to reduce their prices

>my last gpu was a gtx670 for around 400€ in 2012 and it lasted me until 2020
Nice.
I built my current PC back in 2011 (yes, 11 years back), and used the GTX 560ti 1gb up until late 2017 without any issues. Only upgraded to 1060 6gb that I'm still using as we speak because I got it so cheap, used.

Anyway, like said, if you got the funds and a need, go right ahead.
Just make sure to compare prices at least a little bit, you may save dozens of eurobux at best.

>770$
is that with or without the import fees?

3060ti has better value imo.

its like 30% less power than the 3070 tho

>just wait
nah waitfags should all be hanged

no, wait till the 4000 series ,there where leaks that said that a 4060 is at the same level like a 3080 ti.
also the prices will drop when the new series will come

Gaytracing is a meme.

No, wait for a sale unless you're cunt's hardware shops never have any. There was a 3070 on sale for less than 600 last week, I am sure more will follow. Still way above MSRP so fuck them.

So long as it's optional it will be

Do it user, I got one and I can play everything on max settings at 1440p. 3070 is the best budget performance card.

~12-15% slower than the 3070 but 25% more expensive. 399 vs 499. your take. better value in that bracket has amd anyway. rt is unusable on both gpus so that's also whatever.

No fees as I said here

where the fuck did you find such a good price, where I live it's 850 euro on amazon

It seems like there's never a good time to buy a gpu. If you're stressed financially I would wait for new cards or the prices to drop, but otherwise I don't think it matters that much if you're playing at 1080p, 3070 crushes everything pretty much.
