Having OCD sucks dick because of that. I don't even want to 100% these games sometimes, but I have to. Most of the game was fun, but some blue coins were too fucking hidden.
At least 64 had a Yoshi you could talk to, which just jumped away anyways

SM64 doesn't have really shitty blue coins though. Even the pachinko and the poison lily pad level was fun since they were difficult but satisfying to complete. The shittiest part were the blue coins, especially the ones where you have to spray the moon or whatever.
Me too, this game was comfy as hell, my favorite part of the game was Noki Bay.

GTA IV also had shit rewards. Ammo carrying limit was removed and a small cash bonus. Imagine my face when I wasted all my money RPGs, saved, then loaded my game. My 200 RPGs. Gone. Back to the default 8(?). Huge step back from San Andreas.

same. Sunshine might be the least polished Mario game ever but it's still my favorite. and not just because of the tropical setting, it's just so fun and adventurous/experimental in ways that you just never see in more polished entries

64 lets you see Yoshi, it sucks but he’s nowhere else in the game. Sunshine is just a bunch of already seen characters doing nothing.

Well, shit. I don't think I talked to that villager. I remember talking to that guy who manages the cannon outside of Pinna Park and he asked me to cool him off. Sprayed him and expected a blue coin, didn't get anything. Think I just didn't take much of the dialogue seriously afterwards. Regardless, Sunshine is still my favorite Mario because of nostalgia and how relaxing it
is in terms of atmosphere.

Yeah, I think it's the mayor's wife. I think during the day she mentioned the mayor has a secret coin bank hidden in the moon or something. And at night, she mentioned the mayor keeps a secret shine sprite in the sun. I'm paraphrasing a bit but that's what I remember.

Sonic 06’s medals were actually useless. 300 of these things and all they give you is a achievement but only on the 360 version. Town missions in general just give rings and there is no reward for doing them all.

Oh wait, I think that's how I found out about the secret shine. I got on top of the giant tree and sprayed the sun, it was one of my last ones. That moon coin had me running in circles for a bit though. Thanks for telling me that it was hinted at, at least. Would've blown my mind if it wasn't.
