I got a Quest 2 that I planned on using wirelessly to play PCVR games. The headset itself it "cheap" (350€ right now) but you have to plan for accessories and other. For example to play wirelessly I had to buy a WiFi 6 router which added another ~100€, then there was comfort strap, controller padding etc.
It added up to roughly 600€ but there was some unnecessary stuff so it could've been less than 500€.
Personally for me being able to play the games without a cable was night and day, I played with Cable Link while waiting for my router to arrive and started truly enjoying VR only after I got rid of it. Of course like everything I'm sure you can get used to playing wired after a while.

Yeah it's a shame. I made a bogus account and email address for it but technically it's supposed to be a real one. I hope Volvo's headset is also wireless as the leaks imply because it's hard to go back now that I've tried it.

they've been in the process of removing that account requirement for a while, supposed to be coming "soon"; once that happens it'll definitely be the best vr option without reaching into 1k
the next quest model will just follow that pricing though and end up pricing most people out

You know what, now that you mention it, I have heard a lot less reports about this happening these days. They might have been quietly fixing this banning issue in the background at least for their confirmed VR users

It's mostly kids that think facebook is an extension of Any Forums, I've seen quite a few bans happening live, now, remember what was happening when the q2 released, right? Sure, losing a facebook account shouldn't make you lose your purchases, but why the fuck would anyone argue with strangers on facebook.
